Bowlus Auto Center is a full-service auto repair shop. We offer brake service, tire installation, oil system services, transmission services, cooling system and more. If you don’t see a service you are looking for, contact us, we most likely offer the service or can find someone who will assist you. At this time, we do not work on diesel engines or transmissions.

Oil System Services

We offer two types of oil change options including standard and full synthetic. Both include up to 5 quarts of oil, oil filter, lubricate chassis, and a 24-point safety check.

We offer full brake services for both cars and trucks including brake pad replacement, turning rotor service, brake rotor service, brake caliper replacement, and brake system flush.

Transmission System Services

We offer a full transmission power flush to remove old contaminated fluid and replace with fresh new fluid to keep your transmission running longer. We offer installation of transmission sealer and conditioner and filter replacements on most vehicles.

Cooling System Services

We offer four different types of cooling system flushes including standard, standard with chemicals, extended life, and extended life with chemicals. We power flush the cooling system and fill with new fluids to the manufacture’s specifications while adding system conditioner.

A/C Services

We offer a full range of air conditioning services. We understand the need to keep your air conditioner up and running in the Minnesota summers. If you don’t see the service you need, contact us and we can help determine what’s best for your air conditioner system.

Refresher
Services

We offer the Mighty VS7 A/C Refresher kit to disinfect and deodorize the entire A/C system. It’s easily removes harmful mold, mildew, and bacteria.

Performance
Check

If your A/C is emitting hot air or a musty smell, we will run a performance test to check for leaks, drive belt issues and ensure all hoses are in proper working order.

A/C Check &
Tune Up

The check and tune up includes testing and checking the A/C pressures, compressor operation, vent temps and over all performance. The tune up service includes up to one pound of R-134a.

Maintenance

Air Filters & Cabin Air Filters

The air filter is designed to removed dust and dirt from your engine. The cabin air filter is designed to removed pollen, dust, dirt, mold and more from the passenger cabin of the vehicle. Both are important parts of your vehicle and should be checked and replaced regularly.

Fuel Filters

Fuel-injected engines are hypersensitive to harmful micro particles in fuel. Fuel filters keep the dirt and rust particles from the fuel line. Our top-quality fuel filters are built to meet or exceed specifications.

Serpentine Belts

Do you have a squealing noise coming from the front of your vehicle? It might be time for a new serpentine belt. The Mighty Belt Program consists of a full line of serpentine belts, V-belts and cam drive belts that meet or exceed performance standards.

Wiper Blades

Harsh Minnesota winters with thick snow and extensive rainstorms in the spring are great reasons to make sure you have efficient wiper blades. We offer a full range of sizes for all vehicle types. If we don’t have the right size or make, we will order it in for you.

Engine & Transmission

We offer full transmission and engine replacements, both used and rebuilt.

Timing Belt & Head Gasket

Are you hearing weird noises from the engine or seeing white smoke from the exhaust pipe? You might need a new timing belt or head gasket replacement. We use premium belts and gaskets to make sure your engine will perform for the recommended time and specifications it was designed for.

Four Wheel Drive & Bearings

Is your wheel starting to wobble or do you feel a pull in one direction? We offer full drive line repairs from u-joint replacement to custom making new drive shafts and installing lift kits. Our premium wheel bearings come with a 3-year part replacement and a 1-year free labor replacement.

Water Pumps & Cooling System

We offer full cooling system repairs and diagnostics. We use conditioners and chemicals to make sure all contaminants and sediments are removed to ensure proper repairs and warranties.
